The field of environmental protection was chosen by the cluster management as a significant area of the cluster's activity, with the understanding that the environmental issue is cross-border, that is, every activity of one authority in the field affects all residents of the cluster authorities, and therefore, in order to improve the quality of life and the environment in all the cluster authorities, the authorities must work together.

Municipal waste sorting and treatment facility
The goal – providing an appropriate response to waste treatment to the Jewish and Arab authorities in the Sharon region, where 90% of their waste is currently sent to landfills – the establishment of waste sorting and treatment facilities.
Regional Environmental Management (NASA)
The cluster, as a regional body, strives to integrate all aspects of environmental management, in order to provide solutions with a full view. As part of this, the cluster builds a work plan for environmental management,

The Sharon cluster of authorities won the Ministry of Energy's accelerator for writing action plans for preparing for climate change and promoting sustainable energy. The program involved 12 municipalities from all over the country and 2 clusters
